Jackson Brinton, 14, received second prize in the 2023 International Best Performance Competition Series for Best of Debussy for the 11-13 age group and the silver hands award for the 2023 Carles and Sofia International Piano Competition; honorable mention for the 8th grade division at the 2023 MMTA state competition and judge’s nomination for overall judge’s award at the 2023 and 2022 Sonatina/Sonata festival in St. Louis, MO. He was accepted to attend the Manhattan School of Music summer program for classical piano in New York City in July 2024. He was a featured performer for a piano concert series in Berlin and Frankfurt von Oder, Germany in 2022 and for a sell-out crowd of 1,000 in St. Louis, MO in March 2024. Jackson enjoys snow and waterskiing, is a member of the St. Louis Rowing Club, and a competitive runner and swimmer. He studies with Dr. Young Kim at Washington University in St. Louis, MO
